How to have caricatures for party entertainment.

When you are hiring a caricaturist for an event you can be confident that if all the questions and concerns below are satisfied you are in good, professional hands।

- How many portrait caricatures (head only) can be drawn per hour?

- How many full body caricatures can be drawn per hour?

- Do you need more than one caricaturist given the length of the event?

- Can the caricaturist find a colleague if you need more than one artist?

- Can caricaturist’s supply samples to prove ability to capture a likeness?

- Is the caricaturist’s personality compatible with your event?

- Does the caricaturist handle the arrangements in a timely and professional manor?

- Does the caricaturist supply protective plastic bags for each guest’s picture?

- What are the caricaturists billing options?

- Is the caricaturist willing to travel to the area of your event?

- If the event is outdoors do you have shade for the guest and caricaturist?

- Is there an electricity supply for the caricaturist’s needs?

- If there is no electricity, then what are the lighting conditions?

- What is the type and size of paper used by the caricaturist?

- Does the caricaturist’s draw in a style which will offend or flatter guests?

- Does the caricaturist have letters or previous customer comments to show you?

- Does the caricaturist have a contract to guarantee they will deliver as promised?

Please remember that asking for phone references for an entertainer will be an invasion of privacy of their previous clients. Artists are asked many times a day for such references.

No one wants to receive hundreds of phone calls a year from the potential customers of someone they hired for a one day event. Would you want this burden after hiring an entertainer? Most artists do have letters of recommendation or testimonials on their websites that protect the identity of those who were kind enough to have written a thank you.
